TableHop Terms of Service
Effective Date: May 14, 2026 Last Updated: May 16, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TableHop (the "Service"), available at https://thetablehop.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and TableHop ("we", "us", "our"). Please read them carefully.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users between 13 and 18 should have parental supervision. By creating an account, you represent that:
- You are at least 13 years of age
- The information you provide is accurate and complete
- Your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws
- You have not previously been banned or suspended from the Service
If you create an account on behalf of an organization (e.g., as a promoter or event organizer), you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Creating an Account
You may create an account using:
- Email and password
- Sign-in via Google (OAuth)
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately at contact@thetablehop.com of any unauthorized access or security breach
We are not liable for losses resulting from your failure to maintain account security.
3.3 One Account Per Person
You may not maintain multiple accounts to circumvent moderation, ratings systems, or other Service features. We reserve the right to merge or delete duplicate accounts.
4. Description of Service
TableHop is a discovery platform for trading card shows, collector events, and related hobby events, currently focused on Ohio, United States. The Service allows users to:
- Browse upcoming events
- Save events to a personal list
- Receive event reminders and weekly digests via email
- Upload photos from events they have attended
- Submit reviews and star ratings for events
- Share event details with friends via SMS, email, or social platforms
Additional features (vendor accounts, table booking, payments, messaging) may be added in future releases. Continued use of the Service following the addition of new features constitutes acceptance of these Terms as they apply to those features.
5. Vendor Table Booking and Peer Payments
Some promoters use TableHop to let vendors request and reserve tables at their events, and to coordinate payment for those tables. This section governs that feature and applies in addition to the rest of these Terms.
5.1 TableHop coordinates; it does not process payments
TableHop provides tools to coordinate table bookings and to record payment information shared between vendors and promoters. TableHop does not process, hold, receive, transmit, escrow, or guarantee any payment, and is never a party to any payment. We are a venue for organizing information, not a payment processor, money transmitter, bank, or financial institution.
5.2 Payments are made directly between vendor and promoter
All table payments are made directly between the vendor and the promoter using third-party peer-payment services that the parties themselves choose (for example, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Zelle). TableHop does not select, endorse, control, or operate those services, and the funds never pass through TableHop. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies (see also the Third-Party Services section below).
5.3 No escrow, no protection, no verification
TableHop provides no escrow, no buyer or seller protection, no chargeback service, and no payment verification. Features that let a vendor mark a payment as sent and let a promoter confirm it are record-keeping conveniences only — they reflect what the parties tell us. They do not mean TableHop has verified, witnessed, or guaranteed that any money was actually sent or received.
5.4 Disputes are solely between the parties
Any dispute arising from a table booking or payment — including non-payment, non-receipt, the amount paid, refunds, cancellations, no-shows, or the condition of a table or event — is solely between the vendor and the promoter. TableHop does not mediate, arbitrate, adjudicate, reverse, or refund these transactions, and has no obligation to do so. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release TableHop from any claim related to such disputes (see also the Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability sections below).
5.5 Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Complying with the third-party payment services' own terms, including any rules those services have about business or commercial use. Some peer-payment services restrict business transactions on personal accounts; choosing and using the right account type is your responsibility, not TableHop's.
- Your own taxes. Vendors and promoters are each responsible for determining and meeting their own tax obligations on amounts paid or received. TableHop does not provide tax advice and does not issue tax forms for these peer-to-peer payments.
- The accuracy of the information you enter, including payment usernames/handles, amounts, and confirmations.
5.6 Promoters set their own terms
Promoters set their own table prices, booking requirements, and refund and cancellation policies, and those terms are between the promoter and the vendor. A promoter may cancel a booking, and a vendor may withdraw, in accordance with the promoter's stated policy; TableHop's role is limited to recording the change and notifying the other party.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Upload, post, or share content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Upload content that infringes any intellectual property right of another party
- Submit false reviews, including reviews for events you did not attend
- Upload photos that contain personally identifiable images of others without their consent
- Distribute spam, chain letters, or unsolicited advertising
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, user accounts, or systems
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose not expressly authorized by us
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Service without our written permission

7.2 License You Grant Us
By submitting User Content, you grant TableHop a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform that User Content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Service.
This license continues even after you delete your account, with respect to User Content that has been shared with or by other users prior to deletion.

7.5 No Compensation
We do not compensate users for User Content. Submitting User Content does not entitle you to any payment, royalties, or other compensation.
8. Reviews and Ratings
When submitting a review:
- You may submit one review per event
- You may edit or delete your own review at any time
- Reviews should reflect your honest experience and opinion
- We reserve the right to hide or remove reviews that violate these Terms
Star ratings and reviews are visible to all users of the Service. By submitting a review, you consent to its public display.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 TableHop's Rights
The Service, including its design, code, logos, text, graphics, and trademarks, is owned by TableHop and protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Identification of the infringing material with a URL

We will respond to valid takedown requests within a reasonable time.
10. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service relies on third-party services including (but not limited to) Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Google (Maps and OAuth), and the United States Census Geocoder.
The Service may also link to external websites (e.g., event promoter pages, social media). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of third-party services or external websites.
Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TABLEHOP AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:
